anyone have any experience with the automapper. 

specifically how do i tell the mapper to stop if i bump into a wall etc

You dont. The usual problem is we have custom messages.

I havent seen a mapper yet that works.

To Echo Lines you have to make an event for each line in psychic gaze/identify.The variable used to do this is @Gline1.



for example: The event portal should look for should be "Hit Points:*"

then asign the variable Gline 1 to the *.



Once you enter the event then make the event so you say how many hit points. You do this by putting in Hit Points = @Gline1.



If anyone one needs help with this just mudmail darkfox :)

Funny, I've been using zmud's automapper for years now without problem.



I did have to write a few trigs to stop the automapper running riot in the way you suggest Chemosh, zmud has a #nomap command for just that purpose, but mostly it's just being careful when in mapping mode.. know where you're going and go there carefully and slowly and you shouldn't even have to allow for such messages.
