Lately i've had a problem with portal occasionaly not picking up on
my trig calls this happens about 15% of the time and is quite
annoying. It seems like the program just completely misses the
event. The event appears on the screen, but the trig does not go
off. Its bad enough that i turned my offensive spell recast trig
off because it actually made me cast slower. I am using a lot of
sounds and stuff, Is there anyone else who've had similar problems
or knows how to fix this?

I don't know exactly what your seeing, but a few points:

1. The most common instance of missed trigs in portal
is due to something interrupting the string of data,
for instance, if you hit enter while the string of
data which trips the event is interrupted.

i.e. If you have an event "falls to the ground Dead!" and
something breaks the string so that it sees "falls to the",
nothing will happen.

2. Depending on the speed of your computer and number
of trigs, you could have a slow response time for triggers.

3. *cough* enter your own damn recasts, sucka!
4. If all this fails, look and see if you can figure
out a pattern of when your trigs are failing. There
is also a feature in portal that involves termination.
Meaning, if you have a trigger marked terminate, then
all items below that one will be ignored, if that
event is triggered.

Also if you have an event that your filtering and also
using for an event, make sure that your filtering
it after your even trig, or the process won't
happen.

Happy sailing~!

On an older version of portal many years ago..

If I had a trigger that played a sound, while that sound played
Portal would not do anything else. Just a thought, I have no clue if
its still the case or not.

Hello,

For those that use Portal, the mysterious upgrade D has been
made available. According to the web site, it upgrades some
things, and fixes some problems. No idea if it's worth upgrading
or not yet. I'll let you know.

my enemy status bar is doing something a little odd.

say i'm fighting an ogre. that ogre[according to my RDMP monster_health thing] is at 80% health.

according to my status bar, it's at 8% health.

anyone else ever have this issue or know how to solve it and make my client/triggs read the 0?

okay, what i WANTED To say was..
i've got my enemy health bar set up, and it's actually working.

..sort of.
if, according to my RDMP monster_health thing, the monster is at 80,
my enemy health bar reads it at 8.
is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know how to fix
my triggers for some reason not picking up the 0 in monster_health?

...sorry that didn't work the first time. fucker.

help is much appreciated.
