These gems range in value from very cheap to very expensive. The higher the level of the monster killed, the better the chance for a more valuable gem. However even very low level monsters have been known to hold very valuable gems.

The gems may be sold in any general shop in the game, however those shops will not give more than 10,000 gold for any gem. If your gem is worth more than 10,000 you will lose money by selling it there.

On the island of Hyboria, in the city of Tarantia is a gem shop. The shopkeeper in this shop is well versed in the value of gems, and will give you the full price for your gems.
