The subject of many years of human lore, the dagger of Solum was the source
of his agony as well. It was in his hand on the fateful night he slew his
fifteen beloved children in the grips of a feverish nightmare. He awoke to
find the nightmare preferable to the horrors he beheld. The cruelty he
exhibited that night, and when he slowly used the dagger on himself over
the many hours of his evisceration, apparently embued the dagger with
otherworldly spirits capable of dementia far beyond the scope of human
reason.
