Along the shore, near an ominous catapult [exits: east, south, southwest and southeast]
Here at the shore stands a rather bulky catapult and a jaunty Frenchman outfitted in some armors and finery, attending to his machine. Rather crude in his gestures and behavior, this Frenchman is not particularly fond of anyone if they aren't one such as himself; that is, French.

The Frenchman looks you up and down and says, "So, You want to travel to the island, eh? I have JUST THE THING!"

With a jaunty fiddle of his moustache, the Frenchman yells, "Bon Voyage!" and pulls the big release lever.

seems like i was sent to where i was supposed to go, not sure what the bug was though. i do know that there are some weird inventory effects while you're inside the catapult though
