I'd love the witch spell mental eye to allow us to see hidden lurkers
It seems pretty much what the spell is intended to do, not
sure how complicated a fix it is though.

Ok. I was just going by the success message, which says something
along the lines of "You can now see inside shadows".

That's actually the message for gaining the "sees invisible" ability which is exactly what mental eye does. I'll leave a note here and maybe me or someone else will change it some day.
