| I mean, the presence of the Stork event says everything, I suppose.
The birth of a child from our loins has gone from an occasion to contemplate suing either the Alcochol companies or the condom companies...or both, to an occasion of celebration.
We've gotten old.
I started MUDding when I was young, so young in fact, that I had to pass up my only opportunity for a MUDcon opportunity becuase I was too young to vote, let alone drink.
And now, I'm still younger than the average for MUDders, but I stay, for the same reason I started here in the first place, because I like the people.
And yet, as it was when I started, I'm younger than most. and I rail against the thought that I should be brought to maturity, or that those aroudn me should be.
I have no 401(k), and it saddens me to think that those I choose to call friends do. no matter the domestic oats we may have to sow, there remain wild ones...
I will not go gently into that good night of maturity, won't some of you join me in railing against the little death?

My two cents. |
