| A bold company of seasoned explorers set off last week to chart the long-forgotten Jagged Peaks, a remote and towering solitary mountain newly discovered on Everest. Their goal: to map the terrain and uncover any lost relics or treasure.
Only a blood-soaked journal, found wedged between broken stones at the foot of the range, ever made it back.
One passage reads:
- "We crossed into a vast meadow today — or what’s left of one. The land is stripped bare, as if thousands of mouths have chewed it to dust.
Sheep roam freely, watching us with eerie stillness. Rams circle the edges. It's unnaturally quiet here... and we are being watched."
What came next is only guessed at. The expedition vanished entirely. Scattered pieces of equipment were found days later, twisted and smashed. The final pages of the journal speak of giant, one-eyed beasts — towering Cyclopes — emerging from dark caves, crushing bone with clubs of olive wood and bellowing in rage at any who approached.
The area is now deemed highly dangerous, and much of it remains unexplored.
Rumors swirl of ancient stone tunnels and a vast subterranean realm, carved away by lava in a forgotten age.
