racial xp rate in partiesSun Jun 21 04:46:33 2015 MST

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to how this works, so I'm
going to add a help file, but I wanted to address it here also.

If players A and B are in a party and A's racial xp rate is 115%,
and B's racial xp rate is 60%, B's racial rate does not affect how
much exp A gets, and A's racial rate does not affect how much B
gets.

I think a big part of the confusion is that when you look at party
kills the xp value of the monster appears to fluctuate based on the
xp rates of people in the party. However, that is not quite
correct.

If monster M is worth 1000 base xp (and we're ignoring tuner etc
here), Player A and B have the same levels/xp worth so that they're
each getting a 50% share, Player A's racial xp rate is 110%, and
Player B's racial xp rate is 65%, the value of the monster for
purpose of party kills is calculated thusly:

1000*0.5*1.1 + 1000*0.5*0.65

So basically what it is doing, if you will notice, is it is taking
the xp Player A got from the kill, and the xp that Player B got from
the kill, and adding the 2 together. Player A's xp is 1000*0.5*1.1
... it is completely unaffected by Player B's xp rate. Player B's xp
is 1000*0.5*0.65, and it is completely unaffected by Player A's xp
rate.

And in case anyone is worried because I'm ignoring the level tuner,
that also does not affect the rate of the other people in the
party.

Thank you for your attention.
