Just to let people know officially...

We have a bug with monster repopulation in vmap rooms - they are spawning way too often (every time one enters a room).

This is a bug, and abuse of it will henceforth be dealt with as such.

At Mintorus' request, I have removed the monsters from his desert area until we can get it fixed. I would prefer not to do that with every area, so let me outline the what should be considered "normal", unbuggy operations:

(1) Re-entering a room shouldn't cause the monsters in it to change. People found repeatedly entering rooms to increase the number of monsters therein will be sanctioned.

(2) For vmaps, at _most_ about one in every three rooms is supposed to have monsters in it. Most such areas don't have every monster in every room, either. As a general guideline, try not to kill more than about one in 5 monsters in such an area, if it's become saturated. Until we get this fixed, clearing such areas will be considered bug abuse.

For those who don't understand what vmaps are, they are the areas similar to the outside ones. Outside cities, if the "map" command works, it's probably a vmap.

For the moment, I'm considering the swamp on everest to be under the same rules. It's not technically a vmap, but the way it's written seems to cause it to have the same issues.

Hopefully, we'll get this fixed in relatively short order; in the mean time, we appologize for the inconvenience.
