| For the record, the reason that the machine was not added in time for new years is two-fold. One is that those of us who knew how to add it forgot to or neglected to, and two is that those of us who didn't forget didn't know how.
However, I am not adding the machine set to a different day. I have 2 reasons for this. Well, 3 I guess.
1) The machine is not set in stone, and this has been said numerous times. I cannot tell you the number of times various wizzes have warned that it is not a sure thing and that players should not assume it will be added.
2) Tomorrow is not January 1st. While it would be possible to change the machine to operate on the 2nd, I believe the first point explains why this is unnecessary.
3) From what I have heard from a few sources, many people were bitching quite a lot today about the fact that the machine was not added. Since I know that the warnings have been given out over and over, I can only assume that many of the gripers are simply a percentage of the large number of players who feel a sense of entitlement to get gifts at not cost to themselves. Well, here is a lesson in humility. It builds character. Gifts are not assured. |
