having played a bit with the blast spells (hand of god, turn undead, banish demon) since the change, i have to say that i think the change isn't really working out for the better. it is my opinion that turn undead and banish demon should ALWAYS be better to use than hand of god, if the monster allows for the spells to be cast. there are very few undead/demon mobs in game that are convenient for a party or healer to go around killing. you can specifically seek them out, as i do, but still the options are limited. hand of god, on the other hand, works on all evil mobs and it is far less limited for that.

the recent change lowered the damage from turn undead and banish demon quite a bit, and even with the lowered cost, this really didn't help much. not only do we do less dmg, but hand of god is now better on demons/undeads if tapping is not an issue. i think that really they should be better even if tapping is not an issue, due to the very narrow selection of target mobs. especially if the healer is one of the blasters in the party who is expected to be doing damage, banish demon and turn undead have lost their spunk. better to chain hand of god and just switch to white flame for regen (with all the healing i do, banish demon and turn undead will not let me blast indefinitely, they'll just let me blast longer).

i really think that turn undead/banish demon should go back to or move closer to their original strenght/cost. i'm all for making hand of god the same cost as them and having the damage lowered, but i think that the lowered dmg output from those 2 spells is too much even if hand of god is not proving to be more useful to blast with.

Adjusted again now so they're somewhere between the first tune and the original.
