dragonlord versus new crit hit combat system.... | Fri Sep 11 13:12:56 2009 MST |
| I hope someone do not forget shifters ...
Currently I do less criticals than a level 95 dwarf shapeshifter (black dragon) with no crit wishes. That is, the lvl 95 dwarf does not have any critical wishes.
I, with tree times more worth, and a few extra levels, 6 + 6 wishes on this body get bashed.
Not to forget Im on the next to last rank in the shifter guild, and the dwarf shifter is on his second rank somewhere.
As I wrote first. I hope someone takes shapeshifter and dragonlords into account when making changes to the system.

Dwarf has pretty good dex. Secondly, a shifter non-dragon does not have the resistances or the vulns, so has to fight smaller monsters. Smaller monsters dodge less, meaning you get more crits. I have crit wishes and have seen shifters and non-shifters, hitting just fine. You can't have insane resistances and expect an insane damage output, too. I fought tuffgong recently in battle royale, and i had abj shields/iw/dheals/pftcs and was chain healed to beat him. The black dragon passive stun/awer was getting through that/empower will almost every single time. His melee was matching mine, and i have 700 str and 800 dex I believe this change was mad because of the same old cycling of exp areas, people need to explore and know where to kill. |

Er... What did you expect? You were fighting a bloody dragon!
There are things in place to limit dragons' effectiveness against many monsters, that should keep them from being too out-of-tune in terms of xps. I don't think those apply to (rare) player-vs.-player combat, and I don't really intend them to. |
