| trying to avoid using the telnet connection downloadable from the website, and when I try to use java I get the following message
"connection attempt failed: access denied "java.net.SocketPermission" "184.95.53.34:3000" "connect.resolve""
i'm not incredibly computer savvy, so any help would be appreciated. thanks |

You may have to specifically allow the program to make the connection.
The java security settings on your computer may also be in play here
You may want to look into a client like portal, mudlet or any of the others out there, if they're an optionf or you at all |
