| So today I learned that gentoo has a command called "rc". I won't linux geek out on you, but I tyoped a command and put a ";" instead of an "l" which resulted in "rc" being run. This caused all of the system services to be stopped. Took a bit to get remote access from teh host to fix this :)
Sorry about that, I tend to be a little reckless when I'm on my server since I have to be so paranoid all day at work |

The network service was stopped.
From what I've been told, the mud saves to disk very frequently, so I'm really unsure what would have happened.
I did reboot the server when I had remote access, since shit was "down" I fugred it'd be a good time to to test the new kernel out :) |
