outage Thu Jan 5 00:17:35 2012 MST Korthrun player online So today I learned that gentoo has a command called "rc". I won't linux geek out on you, but I tyoped a command and put a ";" instead of an "l" which resulted in "rc" being run. This caused all of the system services to be stopped. The network service was stopped. From what I've been told, the mud saves to disk very frequently, so I'm really unsure what would have happened. I did reboot the server when I had remote access, since shit was "down" I fugred it'd be a good time to to test the new kernel out :)
