Martial Artists are fighters who have chosen the path of mastering the art of combat by using their fists, feet, and entire body as a weapon. Martial Artists neglect the use of conventional weapons, believing their body and mind is the only weapon they need. They learn all the basic skills involved in unarmed fighting, including how to land several quick punches with both fists. They also learn how to land powerful, stunning blows and the basics at dodging attacks with quickness and skill. Martial Artist are given a pair of gloves as a symbol of their guild membership.

The more people being protected, the more training this takes. Obviously, different guilds gain different techniques, and thus they are not all equally efficient. Warrior, being the biggest and baddest tanks, are, of course, unrivaled in their abilities. Please note that in the case of shapeshifters, ursine forms can make use of the training in a 'normal' way, whereas canine forms tank better the more of them that there are. Other shapeshifter forms do not have the ability to tank at all. Also note that necromancer familiars do need this skill to properly tank as well.
